Is it possible to create a prophecies character but play through factions or nightfall from level 1? I really like the prophecies character appearance choices, but I would rather play either the nightfall campaign or factions.

Nope, when you create a character, the options for their look is based on where they start. Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall, although all have the 6 core classes, have different hair, face, and armor sets for creating a character.

Aww that sucks. Really wanted a prophecies character to fly to lvl 20 in Factions -(

Well, you can make your character in prophecies, get ran to LA, and then go to NF or Fact, but not from level one.

I made my rit in Factions, went straight to NF, then Prophecies and after completing both went back and did factions.

The lowest realistic level you can get in another campaign is 5 orso.
Though from Proph to others you can go as low as lvl 3 if you're really careful with quests etc.

you can but its kinda hard make a charicter in prophences and get the mesmer as scecondary then get run from ascolon to la and then do the quest, ull be lvl 2 but better than nothing.

My ranger was started in Prophecies and I managed to get him over to Cantha at level 3 (reward made him 4) and then at level 4 did the Elonian crossover quest in Kaineng. I was pretty happy to have level 15 heroes at level 4
